🍓 Knox is a wonderful combination of rugged mountain man and old fashion gentleman all rolled into one. A very endearing and sexy quality in a man and in a story. Ford Knox can be bossy when the time is right and sweet and kind at other times. He is used to spending most of his time alone. Knox is not one to chase after a woman, but when he met Valentine Marsden that all changes. Knox knows that Valentine is the one for him. So he stops by the bakery to see her and sample her treats. Knox feels an instant connection and attraction. He wants to protect and cherish Valentine. Knox is an alpha male, who loves to be bossy and talk dirty (my favorite kind of guy).
Valentine is a young woman, who has always worked for what she has wanted. She seems to be an old soul in a young curly body. Valentine is a independent, smart and feisty woman. She loves sugar and everything sweet, so Valentine opened a baker. She does not like Valentine's Day. The holiday that she was named after. Valentine is one who is often laughs and smiles, but all noise and constant banging coming from next door is distracting and frustrating. She has never been a boy crazy kind of girl, but when Valentine meets Knox she becomes addicted. Knox does get Valentine fired up at times, when he becomes too bossy. He likes the fight / fire in Valentine.
This story is centered around a cute and fiery baker and the contractor working next door. Knox and Valentine have great chemistry. I love that they allow each other to be themselves, but make other person better by being together. Knox and Valentine have some hot, steamy scenes. These two have fun together, and I loved all their banter. Sweet Valentine is a sweet and sexy read. I loved Sweet Valentine. I know that other readers will fall in love with the Knox and Sweet Valentine as well. I volunteered to read this arc, and this is my unbiased review. I recommend this book to anyone who loves an dirty talking, alpha male with a sweet side.
