An Exceptional Story That Will Leave You Breathless & On The Edge Of Your Seat = 5 Strong Stars!

Toxic is an exceptional and emotional story. With this story, Nicole Blanchard leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. Toxic is a dark romance that has well developed characters, unique storyline / plot, steamy chemistry, and nonstop twists and turns. There is a villain that you will fall in love with. Toxic has a woman that at times you will cry for and other times cheer on. Get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions with Toxic. I loved every minute of it.

Tessa is an RN in a high security prison, where her husband is the warden. She is both mentally and physically abused by her husband. Tessa is able to get by each day by become numb. She has tried to escape without any success. This makes her husband even more violent and cruel. Tessa sees no way out and little hope. One day she has a run in while a prisoner. He seems to understand her and see who Tessa is. When her back is up against the wall, Tessa does fight and show her strength & determination.

Gracin is a prisoner where Tessa works. He seems to understand Tessa and what she is going through. The two start to spend a lot of time together. Even though employees and inmates are not to get involved, it seems inevitable. Gracin and Tessa's chemistry is scorching hot. He is a dirty talking alpha male. Gracin is also a deadly and dangerous criminal. He knows how to kill and will not hesitate to take someone's life. Gracin gets Tessa to help him escape prison. What will happen for Tessa and Gracin next? How will her husband respond to Tessa helping Gracin? Will Tessa ever find a happily ever after?

Nicole Blanchard is an excellent storyteller. Once again she has blown me away with her brilliant writing and storyline. I felt some many emotions while reading Toxic. I cried for and with Tessa. I was angry for her. I understood how Tessa could do some of the things she did to survive and felt empathy for her as well. In my opinion, it takes an amazing and remarkable writer to create a story where the readers can relate and believe in the characters and storyline. I adore this story and recommend this to others.
